Easy Peasy projects!

Sometimes I like to crochet without having to concentrate very much, in particular the first Wednesday of the month at Knitting Club.  We meet in a pub,  lets say difficult crochet and a few shandy's do not mix! Sometimes I have looked at my work the next morning and thought 'jeez' that needs to be frogged!
Anyway a little while ago I discovered a really simple 'granny' stitch shawl, from ABC Knitting Pattern, on Ravelry, its a free download, a no brainer really, and simple to follow.
I had been gifted some lovely Ripples Crafts yarn in a special shade called Ancient Hill Tartan.  Sumptuous moss greens, rich ambers and a delicious chocolate brown, the colours whisked me away to Scottish climes! The simple pattern lent itself to this delightful 4ply yarn, made up of 75% Bluefaced Leicester and 25% Nylon.  Its quite a soft yarn to crochet with, handles really well, no splitting.  I am aiming to finish it for Autumn, to wrap round and keep out the chills when I am out and about on Doris.  Here's  a picture of my progress so far,  as you can see the pictures don't do the yarn justice.

If I have enough yarn left then I am thinking I might make a matching 'Tam'.  Until next time..............Nicky xxx

  1. That yarn looks lovely and soft. Simple is best I think, with crochet. I like to be able to watch tv while doing it rather than follow a tricky pattern! xx

  2. You are so clever! This is lovely xx
